Mission Statement


Vision

To uphold the teaching of the Gospel in China and to strengthen the ties between Australian and Chinese Christian ministries and the communities at large.


Objective

To raise funds to the target amount of $50,000 in total to support the building of a new auditorium for Maoguang Christian Church in Shantou City, China.


Integrity

  • To achieve the above in a true spirit of integrity and humility whilst remaining open and accountable at all times.
  • Australian Heart Ministries (AHM) is helping this appeal as an auspicing body so donation monies collected by this project will be held in a stand-alone special account managed by Australian Heart Ministries.
  • Every cent of donation money will be transferred to the Maoguang Christian Church account, as appears in the letter from the Church, in full. Fund transfers will occur over the length of the fundraising period as determined by the Australian Heart Ministries China Church Building Appeal Subcommittee (Project Committee).
  • Australian Heart Ministries undertakes to do all auditing and bank fee paying at no charge as a love gift to the church and people of China.
  • Each and every expenditure in China on the Maoguang Christian Church building project using the money raised by the current Australian fundraising project will be subject to the audit by Australian Heart Ministries, as part of the final audit of the completed project, to ensure the auditor's conditions are met and to satisfy and report to Australian (and overseas) donors that their monies have been spent wisely.
  • All members of the Australian Heart Ministries China Church Building Appeal Subcommittee (Project Committee) will volunteer their time and efforts to this project.
  • Sponsorships will be sought to absorb the running costs of major fundraising events.
